Reselling on Vinted in the US? Before you list, check the rules on commercial selling, crosslisting tools, photos and seller protection.

Was I wrong about Vinted? My early sales were real, but I made an assumption about List Perfectly’s authorization that I couldn’t substantiate. Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to look closer.

In this follow-up, I separate my experience from Vinted’s published policies and explain what I need to correct.

VINTED SOURCES AND CORRECTIONS

1. What I need to correct
Successful sales don’t establish that a selling method follows platform rules. My original videos:

2. List Perfectly and API access
A working integration doesn’t prove Vinted approval. I have not verified a private agreement between LP and Vinted. Section 6 addresses external software; it does not establish LP’s authorization.

3. Commercial selling and Vinted Pro
Vinted’s U.S. guidance prohibits professional selling on standard accounts, including sourcing items to resell for profit. That can include secondhand sourcing, not just retail arbitrage. It also says Pro is unavailable in the U.S.

4. Crosslisting and listing limits
Selling on multiple platforms, using external software and selling commercially are separate questions. I found no published “15 listings is safe, 30 gets banned” rule. See Section 6:

5. Photos, brands and condition
Use your own accurate item photos and honest descriptions. A physical white background differs from digital editing. Review the photo restrictions and limited privacy-related cropping/blurring guidance.

6. Prohibited items and authenticity
My blanket knife statement was too broad: dull, round-tipped butter knives are allowed. Counterfeits remain prohibited even when called replicas. Check the specific rules for coins, natural materials, mystery packages and party supplies.

7. Shipping and seller protection
Check the actual carrier’s package limits. Packaging photos may support a claim but don’t guarantee reimbursement. Compensation has eligibility conditions and carrier-specific limits.

8. Offers, payments and payouts
An accepted offer isn’t a paid sale. Order completion, pending funds, available balance and bank withdrawal are separate steps. Buyer silence doesn’t prevent automatic completion indefinitely.

9. The $50 offer and actual profit
The referral reward is shopping coupons, not cash. Qualifying actions, minimum purchases and expiration apply. I can receive referral coupons through qualifying referrals. Compare profit after inventory and other selling costs.

10. My early sales and scam awareness
My results don’t guarantee yours or establish permission to sell commercially. Shipping promotions may affect buyer costs. Verify sales inside Vinted and watch for fake payment emails.

11. The October 8 update
Software and professional-use restrictions already existed. Changes include buyer-fee terminology and a 24-to-48-hour evidence deadline in the specified counterfeit process. These are examples, not every change.
