How to Find What Your Items Are Actually Worth on eBay | How To Find Sold Listings on Ebay

If you’re trying to figure out what an item is actually worth on eBay, don’t rely on asking prices — look at what buyers have actually paid.

In this video, I’ll show you 3 ways to find sold listings on eBay so you can research resale value, price your items more accurately, and make better buying decisions at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales, and flea markets.

We’ll cover how to:

-Find eBay sold and completed listings
-Research comparable sales, or “comps”
-See what similar items have actually sold for
-Compare condition, brand, style, age, and other important details
-Avoid using unrealistic active listing prices
-Determine whether an item is worth buying for resale
-Get a better idea of what your own inventory may actually be worth

I’ll also walk through a real example so you can see how I research an item and narrow down the most useful sold comparisons.

One of the biggest mistakes new eBay sellers make is seeing an item listed for $100 and assuming theirs is worth $100 too. An asking price is not the same thing as a selling price. Learning how to research sold listings is one of the most useful skills you can develop as a reseller.

Whether you're a beginner eBay seller, thrift store reseller, vintage seller, or just trying to figure out the value of something you own, this method can help you make smarter decisions before you buy or list.
