What happens when you score **326 marks in SSC CGL, expect selection, and still face failure?** For Aman Verma, that disappointment was only one part of a much longer journey filled with setbacks, health issues, self-doubt and an unexpected comeback.
In this episode of **Testbook’s Sapno Ka Safarnama**, we travel to Ballia to meet Aman Verma, who finally secured the **Assistant Section Officer (ASO) post through SSC CGL 2025** after facing one setback after another. From scoring 94% in Class 10 and 88% in Class 12 to struggling with competitive exams, his journey proves that academic success alone doesn't guarantee an easy path.
Aman shares the painful experience of missing selection in SSC CGL 2024 despite scoring 326 marks, the impact of normalization and bonus marks, and the emotional toll of seeing his expectations fall apart. Just when things seemed to be going wrong, he faced financial uncertainty, a rejected scholarship, health problems and difficult days when continuing preparation itself felt challenging.
But he didn't give up. He rebuilt his preparation, started teaching fellow aspirants, strengthened his concepts through practice and mock tests, and continued working towards his goal despite the uncertainty surrounding SSC CGL 2025. His eventual selection brought relief and happiness to his family after years of waiting.
Hosted by **Ashab Ahmad Ansari**, this conversation goes beyond exam preparation to explore the importance of self-belief, family support, resilience and staying committed when life doesn't go according to plan. Aman also shares his thoughts on teaching, social service and using his future success to help others.
**Watch the full episode** to discover how Aman turned repeated disappointments into a fresh start—and why one failure should never define your entire journey.
