This is how I take photos for eBay.

I see a lot of bad photos on online market places so I thought I would make this simple guide to show you how I take product photos.

This is obviously an iPhone based tutorial but this technique will work with any phone or camera.

I’ve been selling on eBay and Mercari for a while but I still use this setup for taking photos. It’s simple and effective and quick to setup. Posting takes a lot of time already so I try to get everything right when I take the shot so I don’t have to edit.

Tip: Using the telephoto lens on your phone results in less distortion and a more natural looking photo than using a wider option and moving closer.
