A new Broadway musical based on the 1999 film comedy "10 Things I Hate About You" is set to take the stage this time next year.
The teenage retelling of Shakespeare’s "The Taming of the Shrew" has a production team of heavy hitters: Lena Dunham, the creator of the hit HBO series "Girls," is set to write the script with playwright Jessica Huang, and singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen, who wrote the smash hit “Call Me Maybe,” is writing the score with Grammy winner Ethan Gruska. The show will be directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, who took on the same task for the popular show "MJ the Musical."
